As part of your Online IGCSE Mathematics 9-1 Course you will have the benefit of both Formative and Summative Assessment.
Formative Assessment does not count towards your final mark but is used to gauge your progress and performance. Use these assessments to practice your skills and to build confidence in the subject. You can take combinations of these assessments as many times as you like to continuously improve your grades. Formative Assessments include: Activities, Multiple Choice Assessment, Short Answer and Tutor Marked Mock Exams.
Summative Assessments do count towards your final grade. These are final exams which are held at one of thousand of exam centres across the country. See the Examination section below for more details.
Perhaps the most important asset provided as part of your Online IGCSE Mathematics 9-1 Course is access to a dedicated academic tutor.
You will be assigned a dedicated tutor on enrolment who will support you throughout your studies and towards your final exams. You have access to your tutor for 12 months, if you need to extend support extensions are available.
Tutor support is delivered using Online Messaging function within CloudPort, ensuring you get the support you need when you need it.
Exams for the Edexcel IGCSE Mathematics 9-1 syllabus (4MA1) are held twice a year: January and May/June. Exam timetables are published 12 months in advance and are available upon request.
