Online A-Level Courses

The General Certificate of Education Advanced Level generally termed the GCE Advanced Level or more commonly the A-level, is an academic qualification offered by educational institutions in England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man to students completing secondary or pre-university education.

The majority of our A-Level courses follow either the AQA or Edexcel syllabus. Specification documents can be found on each course page, so you can see which course follows which awarding body. These allow for an overview of what will be covered within the course itself.

A-levels require studying an offered A-level subject over a two-year period and sitting for an examination at the end of each year (AS and A2, respectively), proctored by an official assessment body. Most students study three or four A-level subjects simultaneously during Year 12 and Year 13 (ages 16–18), either in a secondary education institution or in a Sixth Form College, as part of their further education.

Our A-Level courses are ideal for parents looking to home school their children whilst keeping them engaged and motivated in their studies.  They also offer flexibility to those looking to gain new qualifications and work at the same time, something not normally offered through schools and colleges. If you missed out on a vital grade the first time around, they can be perfect for improving or gaining a new qualification.

A-levels are recognised by UK universities as the standard for assessing the suitability of applicants for admission in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, and many such universities base their conditional admissions offers on a student’s predicted A-level grades.

Our A-Levels are supported for 24 months, however students are able to ‘Fast Track’ their learning should they wish to expedite the achievement of qualification.
See the new UCAS A-Level Tariff Table below for entry from 2017. This explains the UCAS points available for A-Levels by grade.
